Where It All Began
When I trained at the Euro Institute, the very first lesson wasn't about products or techniques. It was about touch.
Our instructor had us practice placing our hands on each other's faces — gently, with full attention — for what felt like an eternity. No product. No tool. Just presence.
Your hands will tell your clients everything. Whether you're rushing. Whether you're distracted. Whether you truly care. The skin knows.
— My Instructor at Euro Institute of Skin CareI carry that lesson into every treatment I perform. Before I apply a single product, before I turn on any device, I take a moment to really see the person in my chair. Not their skin concerns. Them.
Because in twenty-plus years in the beauty industry, I've learned that skincare is never just about skin.
It's about the woman who comes in after a long week and just needs someone to take care of her for an hour. It's about the teenager who won't look anyone in the eye because of acne scarring. It's about the new mom who hasn't had a moment to herself in months. Every face tells a story, and my job begins with listening to it.
That's why I don't rush. That's why I don't do assembly-line facials. And that's why I'll always be a one-chair studio — because the moment I can't give you my full, undivided attention is the moment I've lost what makes this work meaningful.
